Some months back I wrote a quick blog about real time SEO. I had fallen into this by way of working on a group of sites that were constantly changing every 5-30 minutes.
My issue was that I could never have quality organic search results because of the speed of the content on my site. Included in the issue was my desire to go real time with Google Adwords.
In conversation I found out from a little squirrel, that Google Adwords may soon be offering an RSS feeds triggered function for Adwords. To me, this is gold for any commerce and content site operating in real time content settings.
Alas, the real time RSS triggered functionality in Adwords is still just an internal mind baby at Google, it seems that they’ve jumped on the wagon.
With epic choir voices announcing its arrival, Google gets all mystical in their video reveal of real time search. This means that real time SEO is just behind the corner.
While I can’t predict the future, every time, I can use my magic guesstimation machine to figure out the obvious.
Looks like Google is covering Twitter and sites equally the same. For updates to take this quickly the meta crawl must be huge. I’d guess that there’s going to be some new RSS reader feed and or a real time XML reader coming soon.
While I am not super technical, I’d definitely be looking into feeds for XML, RSS, and LDAP to make your site in the now.
The real interesting thing will be if they include rich snippets in real time search. Imagine what that would look like.
Anywho, the future is now, blah blah. Here comes real time SEO.
Cheers,
B
